Since joining Nanjing Changjiang Electric Furnace Factory (pre-restructuring) in 1991 after high school graduation, Du has remained dedicated to frontline production for over three decades. Progressing through various technical roles including machinist, welder, and electrician, this former technical novice transformed himself into an industry polymath through persistent learning and hands-on practice. He systematically mastered the entire product lifecycle from design to distribution through self-directed study. Du has made significant contributions to technological innovation, participating in multiple enterprise R&D projects. His efforts facilitated the development of proprietary technologies including roller-type and walking-beam aluminum alloy heat treatment furnace production lines, walking-beam cylinder furnace production lines, annealing furnaces for Shenzhou-5 spacecraft re-entry capsules, and military-grade heat treatment equipment for aerospace applications. Holding 9 utility model and invention patents, his innovations have earned provincial and municipal famous product certifications as well as high-tech product recognition, making outstanding contributions to the company's growth.
